Apex Mountain Resort is just a short 30 minute drive from downtown Penticton with 67 runs of the famous Okanagan "champagne powder snow." Apex Mountain Resort averages 600 centimetres of snow per year and its facilities offer visitors 5 ski lifts, an outdoor ice hockey rink, a 1 kilometre long ice skating loop, a tube course, a mogul course, an ice climbing tower, and night skiing.

The runs at Apex Mountain Resort provide nicely balanced sliding conditions for every skier and snowboarder: 16% of the runs are for beginners, 48% for intermediate level visitors, 36% for advanced skiers and snowboarders. The vertical drop at Apex Mountain is 2,000 feet, and the total area of skiing and snowboarding tops 1,112 acres.

The ski and snowboard season at Apex Mountain Resort runs from around mid December to late April, everyday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Friday and Saturday nights offer night skiing from 4:00pm until 9:00pm. The 1 kilometre Adventure Skating Loop is also open for night skating, and the loop takes skaters through a well-lit forest - a very special experience indeed!

Apex Mountain Resort Village offers plenty of stores including: The Mountain Shop (ski and snowboard clothing) The Trading Post (convenience store) The Rental Shop (ski, snowboard, and skating rentals). There are also a number of restaurants including the Fresh Tracks Cafe, The Longshot Cafeteria, The Longshot Pasta Bar, and the famous Gunbarrel Saloon.
